Rei Misiri is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist, migrated from Tirana, Albania. Through his earlier years as an immigrant, Misiri found urban art and dance as an outlet to embrace his identity; later representing Canada in some of the world’s biggest street dance competitions.  He combines visual art, dance, and film to bridge the gap between street culture and high art. Misiri’s dynamic clash of traditional calligraphy and contemporary street art have been featured with organizations including Toronto Raptors, Red Bull, Heineken, Nissan, and Mercedes Benz. Most recently, Misiri became one of the 15 North American winners for the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series contest, out of over 6000 applicants. His work was exhibited at Scope Art Show and the Versace Mansion during Art Basel Miami (2018). In his own city, he has also exhibited at Art Gallery of Ontario, Sony Centre For The Performing Arts, and Joseph D. Carrier Gallery.

Through his whimsical yet bold line work, Misiri expresses the rhythm, movement, emotion, and energy beyond the physical realm. He considers his practice a "no mind approach" where the delicate tools are intuitively used with spontaneous precision. As he strives to perfect his calligraphic techniques, improvisation is crucial to his practice in order to purely convey the energy to the viewer.
